Summary
Little Dorrit is a miniseries produced by the BBC and WGBH Boston and based on Charles Dickens' serial novel. In Episode 3, John Chivery proposes to Amy. Amy has already fallen for Arthur and turns him down. Mr. Dorrit is upset that Amy has disappointed the Chiverys. Arthur is ignorant of Amy's feelings for him and dislikes Pet's rival suitor, Henry Gowan. However, he meets and forms a business partnership with inventor Daniel Doyce. Cavalletto arrives in London to discover that Rigaud has followed him there. Rigaud murders Ephraim Flintwinch for the box containing Mrs. Clennam's secret papers. Mrs. Merdle bribes Fanny to stay away from her son Edmund Sparkler. Flora worries that Arthur loves Amy and decides to keep her rival close. Mr. Pancks continues his investigations into the connection between the Dorrits and the Clennams.
