Angelo Tasca, a pivotal figure in the political history of twentieth-century Italy, and indeed the history of Europe, is frequently overshadowed by his Fascist opponent Benito Mussolini or his Socialist and Communist colleagues (Antonio Gramsci and Palmiro Togliatti).
