Summary
Realizing electrically tunable optical structures in the ultraviolet (UV) to terahertz (THz) spectral band is particularly important to develop reconfigurable optical devices. In recent years, chalcogenide phase change materials (PCMs) have received great attention to realize active nanophotonics. In this video, we demonstrate electrically tunable optical resonances in a wide frequency band from visible to THz by using different PCM based optical structures. This video is proposed to be used as a reference guide for engineers and researchers working in the field of optical devices and photonics. This video should provide significant benefit to viewers as it will diversify the expertise in developing devices for manipulation of visible to THz electromagnetic waves for cost-effective and low energy based smart applications.
